Vacation Bible School
Children love our summer Vacation Bible School, which is a week of exciting Bible lessons, fun games, delicious snacks, exciting crafts, new and familiar music, entertaining skits and much more!! The goal of each and every activity is to reinforce Biblical truths as our kids learn to trust and celebrate God's goodness and power.
Freedom Celebration
Our annual Freedom Celebration is filled with games, food, fun, and great fellowship. Whether it’s getting wet on the water slide, listening to concert, or enjoying the picnic, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
New Year's Breakfast
This delicious breakfast is prepared by our Special Events Committee before our Unity Service on the last Sunday of the year.
Valentine's Dinner
It is a catered feast followed by music, fun & games enjoying our Sweethearts. Usually celebrated on the Saturday before Valentine’s Day.
Donation Sale
Used items are available in our Family Center for sale for donation only. Clothing, furniture, books, Christmas, glass/wood items are some of the items available along with our delicious bake sale. The donation sale is usually held the first Friday and Saturday of April.
Noodle Dinner and Auction
This fun filled night is started with an noodle dinner, serving Beef & Noodles and Chicken and Noodles for a fee. An auction follows with delicious baked items, handicraft items, etc auctioned by our auctioneer. Proceeds go to our Missions program.
Thanksgiving Dinner
Our dinner is available to our congregation and friends with a delicious ham and turkey dinner with all the trimmings. It is held on the 1st Sunday of November.
Veteran's Day Program
Our veteran’s day program begins with a delicious supper provided by the church and is open to our local churches and veterans. There is a guest speaker to share their experience with military service and special tributes to each branch of the military. This program is held the 2nd Sunday evening in November.
Children’s Christmas Program
Our annual Children’s Christmas Program is the Sunday before Thanksgiving and directed by Starla Garrett. It features music and a Christmas story. This is a “do not miss” event.
Christmas in the Chapel
This event is much loved and held the 1st Thursday evening of December at Lincoln University in Lincoln, Illinois and attended by ladies, gentlemen, and families. It is a ticket-only event. Our church takes our “marshmallow” bus full. |
